The Amazing vintage Wem Copycat varispeed tape delay echo unit!

These were used by just about every British musician in the 70’s and also the early 80’s when digital units became available.

Like all tape delays they have a sound unique to them - and most discerning muso’s had their favourites - I mean - who wouldn’t want their guitar / voice / keys printed to tape before hitting the input of an amp or PA!! That beautiful saturation, energy and richness only tape gives - now avaliable for the first time as Impulse Responses you can use right in your daw - on every track if you want!

You have 44 Impulse responses - but each one recorded twice … (88 in total - and they each sound slightly different) so we could make real stereo IR’s complete with the Non Linearity you’d expect from analog devices. These IR’s are much better quality than most others - recorded with a mastering grade interface so they can be pitch shifted /stretched to match the tempo of your session without sounding too glitchy - unless that’s what you require!

There are mono sets for regular tape delays that can be panned wherever you want, and stereo sets that make everything wider, more interesting and Much more Beautiful, plus there are feedback sets for harmonic creative use - though you should try them all out - even the most bizarre are musical and will bring something to the mix you didn’t know it needed!
